The Role

Overview

Senior engineer designing pressure vessels and heat exchangers per ASME codes.

Tasks

-Prepare Installation and Operation Manuals (IOM) and submit to client for review and approval. -Review contract requirements, client technical specifications, sales package and all design data. -Develop required general arrangement drawings, fabrication details, assembly drawings, P&ID, and Bill of Material drawings. -Issue final drawings/document packages to workshops or clients as instructed. -Review fabrication drawings for conformity to client specification. -Perform mechanical and structural calculations, prepare design details, generate design breakdowns, produce fabrication drawings and bills of materials, analyze foundation loading, perform relevant code calculations, prepare operating/instruction manuals.

What You Bring

-Complete mechanical design and required mechanical analysis. -5+ years’ experience in the particular product line and industry common to the product. -Experience in performing finite element analysis (FEA) to the requirements of ASME code is a plus. -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral. -Registered as a Professional Engineer is preferred. -Proficient in Drafting: AutoCAD, Inventor or Solid Works. -Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Nuclear Engineering or related field is required. -Certification in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or inventor design software is a plus. -Ability to schedule, manage, prioritize, and execute assignments with accuracy. -Expert level work experience in designing various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with the ASME Code for pressure vessels and high-pressure heat exchangers per ASME Section VIII Division 1 and 2 required and HEI (Heat Exchange Institute) Standards is required.
