Reporting to the Regional Human Resources Manager OR Human Resources Manager – Corporate, WA & SA, this role partners closely with operational and functional leaders to deliver the full spectrum of HR support. You will provide expert advice across employee relations, workforce planning, talent development, performance, ensuring alignment between business priorities and people outcomes.
In this busy and fast paced environment, you will work closely with your internal and external stakeholders including the project team, business, and client to achieve deadlines and deliver the best outcomes.
- Partnering with operational leaders to develop and implement people solutions in response to business needs.
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders, proactively driving process, governance, and approvals to ensure timely outcomes. Partner with Centres of Excellence (Workforce Planning, Recruitment, Organisational Development, and Remuneration) to deliver seamless, integrated HR solutions.
- HR reporting, analysing people metrics and trends to inform decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide coaching and advice to leaders on effective people management, capability development, and promoting a positive workplace culture. Mentor and develop junior HR team members, fostering growth, confidence, and professional excellence.
- Drafting various HR correspondence eg; contracts, policies, change of conditions, organisational charts.
- Providing advice and assistance to Project Managers, Line Managers and employees on various human resource policies and procedural matters, including managing complex employee relations matters with a focus on risk mitigation and fairness.
- Implement all HR initiatives and calendar events and provide ongoing guidance and support to stakeholders.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our WA team working with Corporate functions and project teams to deliver various construction projects. This is a full-time position based in the Perth, CBD, however the successful candidate will have the flexibility to travel to site as required to support the HR function and provide cover to team members.
You are an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You’re commercially minded, pragmatic, and confident influencing at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to travel to site on business trips, if/when required.
- Exceptional communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills, complemented by strong problem-solving ability and critical thinking.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or relevant field desirable
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and contemporary HR practices, managing Employee relations, performance management, case management and complex workplace investigations including behavioural cases and interpersonal conflicts.
- Brings a genuine passion for HR, driving cultural change, building strong partnerships, and delivering agile, solutions-focused support to meet business needs.
- 8+ years’ experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a business partnering capacity, coupled with previous experience on site in a construction / engineering or mining environment.
