- Perform routine maintenance and tooling changes
- Make adjustments as needed
- Maintain and replace parts as needed to meet quality spec
- Load/unload the coil box
- Set up for specific outside diameter size (entire mill setup); measure OD and verify quality
- Stack and pull finished product carts
- Set up robot to pick desired length and perform basic robot repairs
- Check and complete paperwork
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Monitor product to meet spec (no swirls, incorrect grain depth, dirt, etc.)
- Inspect tooling
- Follow and maintain all aspects of quality
- Load raw stainless steel coils for processing through the mill
- Record quality data (to be determined)
- Troubleshoot and identify potential problems in production
- Determine when belts need to be changed
- Judge the quality of the weld with proficiency
- Prepare coils for the mill
- Inspect material continually as it advances at each stop, ensuring it meets company standards and code requirements
- Maintain a basic understanding of robotic operations
- Program orders into AMS Computer
- Change belts as needed
- Monitor laser parameters to meet specification
- Determine when blades need to be changed and how to change them
- Set up Burrmaster for desired length
- Complete weekly PMs and basic maintenance
- Perform both manual and automatic adjustments
- Make adjustments to traverse speed
- Position and make adjustments necessary for coils feeding into the mill
- Perform minor repairs, as well as maintenance and cleaning as required
- Monitor quality and precision of the cut
- Weld coils together using the shear-end welder
- Use hand tools, gauges
- Change the lens on the laser
