Tasks

We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated Accounts Payable / Accounting Clerk to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly – processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting general accounting functions such as accounts payable and job costing. -Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently -Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy -Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits -Support the accounting team with data entry, filing and financial reporting -Assist with month-end close processes related to payables and receivables -Communicate proactively with vendors to resolve billing issues or discrepancies -Assist in project setup and contract reviews in collaboration with the sales team -Maintain up-to-date and organized records for all transactions -Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts -Reconcile customer accounts and investigate variances

What You Bring

-High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred -Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central) -Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills -Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy -Strong Excel skills, including data sorting, filtering, and basic formulas -2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting preferred -Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
