  • Partner with security leaders, operations staff, compliance, and legal to gather inputs, validate content, and secure sign-off for all documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive documentation program for the Physical Security organization (SOPs, protocols, policies, standards, incident response playbooks, etc.).
  • Assist in knowledge management initiatives, making security documentation accessible and understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Establish frameworks, templates, and guidelines to ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in current documentation practices and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR as applicable.
  • Establish metrics and reporting to track compliance, version currency, and document usage.
  • Serve as the central coordinator for review cycles, version control, and approvals.
  • Ensure publishing requirements (special access, coding, formatting) are met without disruption to timelines.
  • Translate complex security concepts and technical requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
  • Design and implement a documentation auditing program to validate adherence to established SOPs and standards.
  • Develop templates, style guides, and best practices to standardize security-related communications.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) in security, compliance, and operations to ensure technical accuracy.

  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, MadCap Flare, or similar.
  • Ability to Create diagrams, workflows, and visual aids to enhance clarity of documentation.
  • Working knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks, and incident response processes.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Background in cybersecurity, IT, or a technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana). Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of information security concepts, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience documenting security programs in enterprise, cloud, or SaaS environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably with a focus on security, compliance, or IT infrastructure.
