Troubleshoot and/or test electrical components and systems.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution
Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to independently perform line locates, splice cable, perform TTR testing and swap out pad mount transformers
Ability to operate manlift, forklift, and skid steer
Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation
Ability to demonstrate basic industrial safety practices / protocols including LOTO
Ability to create concise reports related to testing that the individual or their team has performed
Comfort working remotely as part of a team with limited supervisory interaction
Ability to perform accurate material management
Ability to professionally interact with customers and coworkers on a daily basis
Able to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions
Minimum 2 (two) years’ experience working in the electrical industry, specifically for preventative maintenance or electrical degree/certificate and 1-year experience
Ability to read, interpret and understand basic drawings and schematics
Ability to implement LOTO and switching plans, provide well thought out project planning
Ability to perform rigging and signaling to crane operators
Ability to perform maintenance/construction on electrical collection systems including underground cable faults, pad-mount transformers, switchgears, T-Bodies, Splices and Wind turbine wiring up to 34.5 kV
Valid Driver’s License
Communicates effectively with others
Ability to interact with clients effectively
Ability to independently perform VLF and megger testing, infrared scanning, fault locating, bushing exchanges and battery replacements
Experience using basic power tools
