A global leader in nuclear solutions, delivering engineering, construction, and operational services.
The Vice President of UX will lead the user experience vision and strategy for Nuclear OS, the first purpose‑built digital platform that digitizes, automates, and streamlines the development and deployment of fleet‑scale nuclear power plants. This transformational role involves building and leading a world‑class UX organization that creates intuitive, mission‑critical interfaces for engineers, construction teams, regulators, and project managers across multiple nuclear sites.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the UX roadmap for Nuclear OS as an AI‑driven platform, establishing design standards and best practices, and embedding user‑centered design across software engineering, nuclear engineering, procurement, and construction teams. The VP will partner with executive leadership to align UX strategy with business objectives and collaborate closely with Palantir Technologies to leverage their platform capabilities.
In addition to building a high‑performing UX team of designers, researchers, content strategists, and technologists, the leader will foster a culture of innovation, quality, and rapid iteration while balancing user needs with regulatory and safety requirements. Recruiting, mentoring, and creating career development pathways for a diverse talent pool, as well as managing large, distributed design teams across multiple projects and sites, are core duties.
The role oversees the creation of enterprise‑wide design systems and component libraries, champions user research and testing methodologies, and drives innovation in complex data visualization and project‑management interfaces. Ensuring accessibility and usability across web, mobile, and field applications, as well as leading the design of AI‑native experiences that leverage machine learning within the Palantir stack, are essential responsibilities.
Strategic partnership management includes influencing product roadmaps with major technology vendors, especially Palantir, and representing TNC’s UX vision at industry conferences, regulatory bodies, and to external stakeholders. Building relationships with nuclear industry professionals ensures that designs meet real‑world operational needs.
Required qualifications are 15+ years of UX/product design experience with at least 8 years in leadership roles, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, and a proven track record of building and scaling design organizations. Candidates must have experience with enterprise‑scale software, complex data visualization, strong communication skills for C‑suite and technical audiences, and deep expertise in user research, design thinking, and design systems.
Preferred qualifications include experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, or healthcare, designing industrial or engineering software for technical professionals, familiarity with Palantir or similar platforms, and a background in AI/ML product design. Experience with field/mobile worker applications, large‑scale infrastructure projects, and a technical background to collaborate closely with engineering teams is also valued.
The compensation package is competitive, with an estimated starting salary range of $250,000–$279,000 annually, 401(k) matching, and medical, dental, and vision plans. Employees also receive a generous vacation policy, holidays, and other standard benefits. The company emphasizes equal opportunity employment, compliance with export controls, and alerts candidates to recruitment fraud.
