The Maintenance Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for meeting business goals, driving TPM programs, and implementing continuous improvement processes for each cell’s equipment. In this role, you will use your experience to solve problems, develop and execute tactical and strategic objectives, and drive results that impact short‑term and long‑term business goals.
You will work with Production and Lean teams to support a site‑wide TPM transition, develop TPM teams for individual production cells, and lead the implementation of TPM program elements for each cell. You will manage KPI projects and initiatives that enhance safety, work order management, preventive and predictive maintenance, and overall maintenance value.
You will support EHS projects to ensure equipment complies with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and IEC standards, partner with the Machine Utilization Team for dimensional verification studies, and collaborate with production staff to improve equipment quality. You will apply problem‑solving tools and predictive technologies, engineer creative solutions to improve machine health, schedule TPM work orders, and develop training plans for technicians.
You will act as a liaison between OEMs and Maintenance to enhance equipment design, assist Manufacturing Engineers in equipment design, procurement, and spare‑part strategy, and conduct cost‑benefit analyses for process or equipment improvements. You will provide expert judgment, collaborate with external sources for world‑class solutions, mentor less‑experienced colleagues, and lead projects to improve cell equipment.
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or a high school diploma with six years of relevant manufacturing experience) is required, along with experience on TPM programs and reliability engineering using predictive tools. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Desired traits include Lean manufacturing knowledge, high attention to detail, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant and requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
