Take and defend depositions
Represent our clients in courtroom and mediation/arbitration proceedings
Draft memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, briefs, etc.

Examination of records and transactions underlying business disputes and investigations as to potential client claims
Research various factual and legal issues and collaborate with senior attorneys about strategies
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide comprehensive legal support to our clients

Must have Juris Doctorate degree with an ABA accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of the bar
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Experience with Connecticut State Court and Federal Court practice required
Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility
Must have excellent research and writing skills
4-7+ years’ experience in litigation required
Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Ability to work with diverse personalities within various levels of the organization
Military experience welcome
Admission to Connecticut bar required
Federal or state judicial clerkship experience preferred
Experience in complex commercial litigation and/or bankruptcy preferred
The firm requires a minimum of 1800 billable hours annually
Must have a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude
Admission to New York and/or Massachusetts bar preferred
Demonstrated ability to absorb, process and understand new information rapidly
Demonstrated high level organizational skills for prioritizing workload
