  • Experience traveling to locations across the state;
  • Operation of motor trucks or large buses.
  • Incumbents in this class must have adequate physical strength, stamina, physical agility and visual and auditory acuity, and must maintain such physical fitness as to be able to perform the duties.
  • Experience creating and maintaining electronic work order records;
  • Experience maintaining electronic records of preventative maintenance, vehicle assignments, purchase requests and parts lists;
  • Experience providing oral and written communication with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience performing grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding, raking, shoveling and snow and ice removal.

  • Snow and Ice Removal from Nov.1 to April 30 annually (Mandatory). This requires being called in after hours and may require multiple days per event. As an essential employee attendance is required even if the state is closed by the Governor;
  • Two (2) professional references contact information including name, email and phone number (at least one being a current and/or previous supervisor)
  • Experience operating and maintaining equipment including zero turn mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers and chainsaws;
  • utilize computer software.

  • Incumbents in this class may be required to lift moderate to heavy weights and may be exposed to significant levels of dust, heat, noise, extreme weather conditions and risk of injury from equipment and assaultive and/or abusive individuals.

  • Commercial experience in plumbing, carpentry, custodial, electrical, HVAC, masonry and painting;
  • Experience operating heavy-duty pickup trucks with plow or salting equipment, wheeled loaders, skid loaders and dump trucks (5-ton capacity and larger);
