Manage disputes and litigation to achieve a practical and cost-effective result.
Monitor legal changes within the industry and implement any necessary changes, or challenge any prospective changes that may impact the organisation's operations.
Oversee Mergers and Acquisitions
Oversee the hiring of internal legal staff. Leading the team by example.
Structure, negotiate and draft strategic commercial agreements including customer, supplier and distributor contracts
Provide clear direction and strategic know-how to our European leadership team on commercial matters
Providing support to internal and external audit

Operating from a local manufacturing site you will need to be prepared for significant travel
You will be a qualified solicitor with at least 8 years PQE, some of which will be have been in a General Counsel or Deputy GC role
Demonstrated experience in European corporate and commercial law
1st class English is essential, additional language skills are also desirable
You will have excelled academically when achieving your law qualifications
Ideally, you will be experienced in the manufacturing sector
