In this role you will conduct vegetation assessments and biological surveys, monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance, and build positive relationships with landowners and stakeholders to secure property access. Your field data and reports will guide project decisions, support erosion control and habitat protection, and ensure adherence to state and federal environmental requirements.
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), with 0‑4 years in biological or environmental consulting. A valid driver’s license, strong communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with GIS tools are required; the ability to work independently in remote, rugged terrain is essential. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, HAZWOPER/CPR certifications, and experience with CEQA, NEPA, and Clean Water Act compliance.
The anticipated annual base salary ranges from $61,299 to $75,562, with eligibility for bonus pay, and the position includes a comprehensive benefits package covering paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP plan. Compensation varies based on education, experience, location, performance, and business needs.
