The Key Account Manager in the Nuclear Business Unit will strategically develop and manage customer accounts in the Fusion and Modular Nuclear sector, building trusted relationships with leading stakeholders to position Assystem as a key delivery partner. Reporting to the Business Unit Director New Build, the role leads key account plans and supports the growth strategy together with the wider BU team.
Key responsibilities include managing relationships with existing and new strategic clients, achieving sales order targets, keeping CRM records up to date, providing accurate forecasting and bid tracking, and delivering comprehensive account development plans. The manager will also drive the capture of high‑value opportunities, support internal strategic planning, identify new customer prospects, and represent Assystem at senior client engagements and industry events.
Essential qualifications are proven experience in account management or business development within the nuclear, energy or infrastructure sectors, a strong track record with strategic and complex accounts, proficiency with CRM and forecasting tools, and excellent communication, stakeholder‑engagement and negotiation skills. A degree in engineering, science, business or a related field is required, along with the ability to work autonomously in a matrix organisation. Candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance, typically requiring British nationality. Preferred experience includes familiarity with gated bid processes, knowledge of the fusion and modular reactor market, and exposure to firms such as Atkins, Cavendish Nuclear, Nuvia, Aegis, Tetra Tech or Wood Group.
