As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair low‑voltage cable infrastructure. The role requires meeting the physical demands of the work site while delivering excellent customer service, and is suited for career‑oriented individuals eager to learn and grow with the company.
Key duties include performing preventive maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting cabling system issues, and removing abandoned cables. You will test all new or relocated cables, keep installations neatly tied and bundled, and adhere to safety standards. The position also involves developing in‑depth knowledge of National Building Codes, recording time and materials, and assisting teammates with installations and maintenance in varied environments such as outdoors, heights, and confined spaces, using hand and power tools, ladders, and test equipment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. Successful applicants must also pass drug and background screenings. Preferred qualifications include BICSI certification, manufacturer training, and OSHA training.
