Description

The Materials Logistics Coordinator is tasked with maintaining inventory accuracy and overseeing the inbound and outbound flow of materials across various construction projects. The role supports internal and external customer requirements while adhering to 5S and Lean principles, and includes responsibilities such as scheduling, supplier selection, and compliance with company policies.

• Establish daily schedules and prioritize materials to meet internal and external customer requirements
• Support project teams with changing needs
• Inspect, receive, and correctly place all incoming materials promptly
• Train employees on proper handling, loading, and unloading techniques for product transport
• Review shipments and coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries
• Schedule special and periodic inventory tasks, including cycle counting and year‑end counts
• Identify lowest‑cost, high‑quality, reliable suppliers and material sources
• Investigate nontraditional sources to reduce purchasing costs
• Negotiate optimal pricing and payment terms with vendors
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Ethics Policy, and industry‑specific standards

Requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of materials management experience, and two years of electrical construction trade experience, with a strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills. • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school coursework preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in materials management and 2 years electrical construction trade experience
• 1–2 years construction industry experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong commitment to safety, excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, time‑management, leadership, and team‑building abilities
• Self‑starter comfortable working autonomously and handling multiple responsibilities
