- Oversee accounting activities for construction projects, including job costing, WIP reporting, cost capitalization, and variance analysis
- Monitor project budgets and forecasts, proactively identifying cost overruns, risks, and savings opportunities
- Prepare detailed cost reports, analyses, and financial forecasts for active and upcoming construction projects
- Serve as a strategic partner to project managers, offering financial expertise to ensure cost‑effective resource allocation
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures that align with GAAP and construction industry best practices
- Manage and track project‑specific financial transactions, ensuring all costs are accurately recorded and within budget
- Foster strong relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure financial success of projects
- Stay updated on construction industry trends and financial best practices to inform decision‑making

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax law, and federal/state regulations related to construction and renewable energy
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems such as Expensify, QBO, NetSuite, etc.
- Exceptional Excel skills and ability to manipulate large datasets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects
