Ownership of the High Voltage electrical testing program including test cage team member certifications and test unit key control.
Work with Leadership to immediately deal with incidents and injuries to identify containment and corrective actions.
Maintain overall compliance with OSHA, EPA and other applicable regulations or permit requirements, establishing and coordinating facility audits and inspections, and addressing, completing and documenting corrective actions.
Occasionally, qualify new tooling/process/chemistries for manufacturing by performing safety reviews.
Periodic support on 2nd shift.
Maintain and expand S&C's ISO certifications, coordinating internal and external audits, and further improving these systems, including ISO 140001, ISO 45001.
Develop, coordinate and lead safety & environmental training for new hires and current team members.
Create instruction bulletins and standard work practices related to Health, Safety & Environmental processes.
Execute proactive incident prevention and injury reduction initiatives.
Coordinate with the Health Services Occupational Health Nurse and Biokinetix ergonomic trainers on case management and injury trends.
Facilitate activities of the Emergency Response Team, Safety Action Teams.
Track Federal, State and Local safety & environmental regulations and evaluates their effects on company operations.
Communication with outside regulatory bodies.
Occasionally, visit tooling/equipment suppliers to inspect tooling/equipment during Factory Acceptance Testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional organizations within S&C to drive health, safety & environmental initiatives.
Regular shop floor interaction including attending daily Gemba meetings to foster communications with Operations, Facilities, Logistics, Engineering teams and others.
Perform ergonomic reviews and PPE assessments.
Act as the subject matter expert, providing oversight and guidance on safety & environmental topics including but not limited to: Location, Emergency Response Plan (LERP); Electrical Safety, Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCC); Hazard Communication and GHS, Safety Data Sheets, TSCA, Fire Prevention, LOTO, Confined Space, Machine Guarding, Ergonomics, PIV, Asbestos, Industrial Air and Noise monitoring, Sustainability and Waste Management compliance, Waste Minimization and Pollution Prevention.
Coordinate audits, data collection and industrial hygiene samplings, etc. while making improvements towards efficiency.

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering/Sciences, Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or other Life Sciences (or related undergrad).
Previous experience with working cloud based Health, Safety & Environmental data management software and tools (Intelex, Enablon, Cority, GaBi software, Sphera, Oracle, PowerBI, SharePoint Online, etc.)
Incident Investigation proficiency including risk assessment and root cause analysis, countermeasure development and PDCA methods.
