Gov Facility Services Limited (GFSL) is a Ministry of Justice owned company. Set up in February 2018 we provide facility maintenance services to 49 prisons across the South of England. We work closely with our client, Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), to deliver a range of facility services, including statutory and mandatory planned maintenance, reactive repair, cleaning, stores operation, and Project works. Our core objective is to support HMPPS in the provision of a safe working environment and the maintenance, operation and improvement of prisons. Since setting up the company, we have made significant progress in stabilising and improving the FM services we provide, while developing our core business systems and infrastructure from scratch to support a team of 1300 people and over 200 specialist supplier partners. We aim to progress these business improvements and efficiencies over the coming years to develop our position as a reliable, safe, trusted and efficient business to underpin the core operations of the Southern prison estate.
