We are seeking a dedicated Area Manager to oversee operations for two esteemed clients, across the Reading area. As an Area Manager, your primary focus will be on enhancing customer experience, exceeding client expectations, efficiently managing the region, and ensuring the smooth execution of Grounds Maintenance contracts.

Quality and compliance auditing, ensuring adherence to company and industry standards (H&S, environmental, and operational).

  • Providing quotes for additional Grounds Maintenance and Tree works and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Building and fostering a positive team culture among staff members.
  • Conducting site audits to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Conducting quality surveys to maintain service excellence.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with clients through regular communication and meetings.
  • Leading KPI meetings to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Holding monthly meetings to review progress and discuss strategies for enhancement.

Budget and cost control experience, including preparing and managing quotes for additional works.

Good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, RAMS, and environmental compliance.

Strong client relationship management, including experience attending client meetings, handling feedback, and delivering against SLAs and KPIs.

Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping management, ideally at Contract, Operations, or Area Manager level.

Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise across multiple projects and clients.

Full driving license and willingness to travel to different sites as required

Operational leadership experience – managing multiple sites, contracts, and field teams across a defined region.

Experience conducting performance reviews and driving continuous improvement across contracts.
