This role focuses on servicing, installing, maintaining, and inspecting a variety of security systems, including fire alarms, access control, burglar systems, and cameras, while ensuring all components meet industry standards and customer requirements.
You will install or upgrade fire alarm systems in both commercial and residential settings, test and repair existing alarms, and conduct inspections to verify code compliance. Detailed inspection reports are completed and results are communicated promptly. Daily duties also include protecting company equipment, maintaining the service truck and warehouse tools, operating loading equipment safely, and responding to emergency service calls on a rotating on‑call schedule. All work is performed following company safety procedures, driver safety guidelines, and the use of personal protective equipment.
The ideal candidate holds a NICET certification (preferred) and is familiar with NFPA standards such as 70 and 72. Experience with commercial and residential fire safety systems, strong troubleshooting abilities, and effective interpersonal skills are required. Candidates must have a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or out‑of‑town assignments when needed. The role also demands the ability to interpret codes, maintain accurate records, and lead inspection programs when called upon.
The position requires regular standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and the ability to use hand tools, ladders, and medium‑sized equipment. Employees must adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policy while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Pay ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, dependent on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, 401(k) with employer match, paid vacation, company holidays, and a company vehicle when applicable.
