Review plant defects and develop modification proposals to maintain optimal plant reliability and availability across the facility
Prepare and manage site maintenance budgets, ensuring all activities are delivered within approved financial parameters
Oversee the development and implementation of Stores Systems, Management Systems, Health & Safety procedures, and the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to enhance maintenance operations
Plan and manage scheduled maintenance outages, including work specification, quality control, and coordination between all stakeholders
Ensure full compliance with the company's Quality and Environmental Management Systems, Health & Safety policies, and all relevant legislation, while participating in the management standby rota for emergency response
Lead and manage the maintenance function, including in-house teams and contract staff, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and site procedures

Proven experience managing maintenance budgets and planned maintenance systems, with strong analytical skills and a practical, hands-on approach to engineering problem-solving
Experience in a supervisory maintenance role within the process industry (Chemical, Waste Incineration, or Power Generation), ideally with steam raising plant experience
Apprentice-trained Engineer with HND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline, with broad knowledge across Control, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, plus strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and Pressure Systems regulations
Excellent communication and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams and contractors, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
