Hands on concept and detailed Mechanical design for a range of projects, in a lead discipline engineer role, providing design calculations, drawings and specifications.
Facilitate and coordinate design activities, processes and other technical standards within the MEP team including the review and monitoring of technical standards in the team to ensure that design techniques, design review and check, reference material and software tools are uptodate and are correctly applied.
Undertake technical reviews of MEP projects (and MEP team input provided to other projects) at appropriate stages to ensure that the project approach and deliverables.
Develop and maintain good relationships with industry networks, clients, government agencies, subconsultants and construction contractors relevant to the MEP team’s activities.
Supervise/prepare proposals/submissions and assist with negotiation of contracts within the MEP team’s framework for such activity.

At least 4 to 6 years of detailed mechanical design experience with an engineering consultancy.
Good working knowledge of relevant local and international legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and nontechnical environments with effective written communication and report writing skills.
Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
