PPA Originator

Description

Join a global leader in utility-scale renewable energy as they continue to expand their footprint across APAC. This is a high-impact PPA Origination role within a fast-growing energy markets team, driving commercial strategy, securing offtake agreements, and shaping the revenue model behind a significant pipeline of solar and BESS projects. You’ll work in a collaborative, innovative environment that empowers commercial thinking, values strong stakeholder engagement, and plays a central role in the ongoing energy transition across the region.

• Develop and execute origination and hedging strategies across the Australian and New Zealand portfolios.
• Manage and optimise the environmental product portfolio.
• Analyse market conditions, policy changes and counterparty insights to identify new routes to market and commercial opportunities.
• Secure bankable PPAs, storage agreements, financial hedges and other revenue-optimising commercial structures.
• Collaborate with development, structured finance, operations and legal teams to align commercial strategy and maximise project financing outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven track record in originating, negotiating and structuring complex renewable energy and storage transactions.
• Exposure to the WEM and/or New Zealand electricity market is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to assess opportunities, risks and revenue models.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong experience in the National Electricity Market (NEM) and utility-scale renewables.
