The Medication Technician role is a part‑time position (6 am‑11 am) responsible for documenting, delivering, and administering medicines as prescribed, while providing superior customer service and complying with all policies, regulations, and HIPAA requirements.
- Impact residents' lives and build lasting relationships
- Deliver signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
- Assist residents with daily medications and treatments per policy and regulations (≈40%)
- Observe, verify, and document medication ingestion or application (≈6%)
- Notify supervisor of any medication deviations and document reasons (≈5%)
- Maintain accurate, confidential medication records (≈6%)
- Coordinate medication orders with pharmacy, physicians, and residents (≈5%)
- Prepare medication orders for distribution up to 24 hours in advance (≈5%)
- Conduct narcotic counts at shift start/end and report discrepancies (≈5%)
- Support caregivers by responding promptly to resident needs, assisting with ADLs, meals, transport, safety checks, and documentation (≈13%)
- Model positive professional image and promote teamwork and friendly interactions (100%)
