Description

The Maintenance Manager plans, directs, and controls the Maintenance Department to keep plant equipment and facilities operating according to sound engineering practices. The role ensures that maintenance activities align with safety and efficiency goals.

• Manage the preventive maintenance program and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
• Develop, maintain, and administer a qualified organization to keep all equipment and facilities safe and efficient.
• Execute an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.
• Maintain operating equipment in satisfactory condition and schedule repairs to minimize interference.
• Consult with other departments on equipment modifications or replacements to improve operations and reduce costs.
• Coordinate the efficient operation of facilities with project engineers as needed.
• Oversee the maintenance of all plant transportation equipment.
• Develop objectives and performance standards for maintenance projects to meet departmental, divisional, and corporate goals.
• Plan for an adequate supply and control of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Provide leadership and maintenance training to MRF Maintenance Technicians.
• Ensure preventative inspections and corrective repairs meet or exceed company standards.

Requirements

Preferred candidates should have at least two years of leadership experience and five years of hands‑on plant maintenance, including work on conveyor belts, industrial machines, electrical and hydraulic systems. They must be able to train and develop employees and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The position is on the third shift, beginning at 10 p.m. on Sundays.

Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess at least four years of relevant work experience. The position involves physical demands typical of plant maintenance, and the base salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 with eligibility for incentive pay.

The role may require air travel or access to federal property, so candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative.
