The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the national sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and managing the sales teams within the Irish market. This role plays a key part in expanding market presence, developing customers relationships, and aligning sales activities with the overall business objectives.
Contribute to product strategy and customer proposition refinement based on market feedback.
Develop and implement the national sales strategy in line with the company's growth objectives.
Attend training sessions, trade shows, and industry networking events as required.
Provide regular analysis and reporting on sales performance and pipeline forecasts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, performance reviews, and training programs.
Oversee pricing strategies, contract renewals, and large project quotations.
Set and monitor sales targets for the sales teams and individuals, ensuring achievement of revenue goals.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies.
Manage the national sales budget and contribute to the broader financial planning.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of internal and external sales representatives (approx. 10-15 staff).
Support credit control by aligning with finance to manage account risks and terms.
Negotiate commercial agreements and resolve high-level customer issues.
Drive collaboration between sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Identify new market opportunities and define sales plans to expand the customer base.
Full, clean driving license.
Experience with CRM systems and modern sales enablement tools.
Demonstrated experience leading successful sales teams and delivering against growth targets.
Minimum 8 years' experience in B2b sales with at least 3 years in a senior sales leadership role.
Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
Excellent commercial acumen and robust negotiation skills.

Established network in the construction and distribution industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Strong knowledge of the construction or building materials sector.
Degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or Construction Management.
Location: Dunshaughlin Co. Meath (with travel nationwide required)
