As a Construction Administrator at Gensler, you will execute architectural projects and provide on‑site support, coordinating with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal staff. The role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented approach and a high level of professionalism, positioning you as a project delivery expert responsible for managing requirements, deliverables, timelines, and fee visibility throughout the project lifecycle.
You will manage day‑to‑day coordination and communication with design consultants, clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure smooth information flow and timely deliverables. This includes organizing and delivering comprehensive construction document (CD) packages that meet firm standards, and overseeing documentation across structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil, and other disciplines.
The position also involves preparing and monitoring project work plans, budgets, and deliverables for both client and internal teams, as well as interfacing with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases. You will support the construction administration phase by handling RFIs, QA/QC coordination, submittals, contract administration, change management, BIM standards, and Bluebeam review procedures.
Additional duties include coordinating project meetings, attending OAC sessions and architectural punch walks, generating punch lists, and maintaining organized document control, records, and file structures.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction science, or engineering, plus at least three years of construction administration or project management experience on large, complex projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, familiarity with multiple jurisdictions, and proficiency in Procore, Newforma, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam are required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to security clearance, and LEED or sustainability certification is preferred.
