In this role you will work closely with clients, digital leaders, solution architects, and functional leads across Guidehouse’s digital teams to deliver client projects and build growth capabilities. You will serve on the modernization team, tackling technical challenges, creating innovative prototypes using cloud architectures, and employing cloud‑native, micro‑services, containerization, and API‑first design patterns. Collaboration with UX designers, platform engineers, product owners, and business analysts will be essential to design, build, test, and deploy high‑value, operationally resilient software on the AWS platform.
The Full‑Stack Python Developer role at Guidehouse is part of the Software Development & Support family and may require up to 10 % travel. The position demands the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and is open to U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (or four additional years of relevant experience), at least six years of full‑stack application development experience, and a minimum of three years building or modernizing applications on AWS. Proficiency in Python and JavaScript is required, with experience in Django or Flask/FastAPI and front‑end frameworks such as Vue.js, React, Svelte, or Angular. The role also requires the ability to work autonomously, mentor teammates, and apply Agile/Scaled‑Agile principles to plan and deliver software products iteratively.
Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect credentials and hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, RDS, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and CI/CD pipeline tooling. Familiarity with the AWS Serverless Application Model, MVC design patterns, and the AWS Well‑Architected Framework is advantageous, as is a strong ability to communicate technical solutions to customers.
The annual salary range for this position is $92,000–$153,000, with compensation based on skills, experience, and certifications.
