Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective action as needed.
Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the KIG Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization.
Train and mentor junior quality specialists and technicians.
Research technical matters and distribute reference material to support the district and projects.
Listen to employee and supervisor suggestions, complaints, problems, safety concerns and recommendations, evaluate each and then devise and implement a plan of action based on that evaluation.
Develop and complete Procedure Qualification Records and Civil Procedure Specifications.
Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients as required.
Manage Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.

At least four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field
Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions
Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications
Regular, reliable attendance
Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel
Must have the ability to run the quality reports and document process.
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with civil/infrastructure projects. (grading, utilities, concrete)
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
