The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager in the Quality Department at the Shelbyville, Kentucky facility. This role is responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) as the new manufacturing plant moves from startup through mass production. The position works closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, and China‑based teams to ensure document control, audit readiness, and seamless quality system execution.
Key duties include building and maintaining the QMS, controlling documentation, supporting internal and external audits, managing corrective and preventive actions, and guiding change‑management initiatives. The engineer will also provide training on quality processes, maintain version control and record retention, and ensure the system is ready for factory ramp‑up and ongoing improvement. Collaboration with global partners is essential to keep quality standards and documentation aligned.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field, and have 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with quality systems. Required knowledge includes ISO 900achusetts. .
