You will lead the delivery of projects across a wide range of sectors including Defence, Health, Education, and Infrastructure, working closely with clients, contractors and Lucid’s national network under our One Lucid ethos.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and all other relevant codes and regulations.
- Carry out advanced mechanical and computational calculations.
- Oversee and review work prepared by other engineers, maintaining Lucid’s quality assurance standards.
- Manage project budgets and support commercial outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development and securing repeat work.
- Attend project meetings and site inspections, preparing reports and technical documentation.
- Lead the Adelaide mechanical engineering team across multiple projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to emerging professionals.
- Undertake design, documentation, and consulting tasks for a diverse range of mechanical services system technologies.
- Represent Lucid at industry events and contribute to the growth of our market presence.

You are a technically strong and people-focused engineer who thrives in a leadership role and enjoys driving both project and team outcomes.

- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory for Defence projects).
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or in the process of obtaining.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance systems and the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
- A minimum of 8+ years’ experience in building services mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience in leading teams and projects within a consulting environment.
- Australian-recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- Experience with REVIT (preferred) and AutoCAD.
