The Role

Overview

Coordinate security operations, risk assessments, and business continuity for assigned accounts.

Tasks

-Develops and maintains strong, positive working relationship with client representatives, tenants, service providers and BGIS’ team members. -Develops familiarity with client security technologies. -Support BGIS’ security screening program for employees; subcontractors and subcontractor employees. -Coordinates the implementation and upkeep of emergency response procedures and the documentation of account-level emergency management plans. -Liaises with client’s security vendors as required to gather and update contact information, requests for clarification, etc. -Develops account-related process documents or work instructions as required. -Participates in client Infrastructure Continuity Planning and tests as required. -Receive, edits and distributes incident reports. Notifies internal and external concerned parties, as required. -Provides guidance to internal facility and/or project management teams as required. -Responsible for security Vendor Assignment and Data Management related to internal Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). -Acts as the point of contact for client corporate security staff following the occurrence of criminal activity or operational impact. -Assists in the implementation of cost saving initiatives and best practices. -Responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of BGIS’ Business Continuity Plans related to the assigned account.

What You Bring

-Good judgment and decision-making ability. -Affiliation with applicable security organizations and associations ie. ASIS -Computer proficiency. -Currently hold (or willing to obtain) and maintain PSP (Physical Security Professional) certificate -Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Security and/or Emergency Response. -Currently hold (or willing and able to obtain) Top Secret Level 3 security clearance -Effective interpersonal and communication skills. -Completion of any required Company Security Officer (CSO) certifications and training -Professional attitude, driven and proactive. -Must be dependable, responsive, and customer-focused possessing the qualities of diplomacy, tact, excellent judgment, discretion and initiative and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment. -Must be able to obtain and maintain Reliability Status and Security Clearance at the highest level of access required (e.g., Secret Level) to serve as Brookfield GIS’ ACSO in support of the DOS and FSC -Knowledge of supporting security disciplines, including document control, visit certifications, personnel security processing, and security processes and procedures.
