Billing and Estimation Manager

Description

The estimator will prepare accurate and auditable detailed estimates, either supporting senior colleagues or acting as lead estimator on less complex projects, and will present relevant estimate elements to stakeholders.

The position requires working with limited supervision, adhering to estimating procedures, collaborating across the team to ensure all tender aspects are covered, managing benchmarking exercises, overseeing quality assurance of estimates, communicating complex data to leadership, coordinating with the senior leadership team, coaching and mentoring team members, complying with Mace governance processes, and supporting the net‑zero carbon transition.

• Prepare accurate, auditable detailed estimates for senior colleagues or lead smaller projects.
• Present relevant estimate elements to stakeholders.
• Work with limited supervision while following estimating procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to consider all tender aspects.
• Manage benchmarking exercises to test estimates.
• Oversee quality assurance of project estimates.
• Communicate complex estimating and risk modelling data to leadership, providing technical and non‑technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Coach and mentor team members as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Mace governance standards.
• Support net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing carbon emissions during delivery.

Requirements
