General Manager

Description

• Oversee daily operations of the branch including sales, project management and field operations.
• Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the branch's offerings to customers.
• Communicate strategy and results to the branch Directors and employees.
• Coordinate the development of key performance goals, functions, and direct reports.
• Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business based on corporate's goals and expectations.
• Ensure the health of the branch by using comparative P&L 's year over year.
• Oversee key hiring and talent development programs.
• Provide direct management of Directors in each local branch.
• Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.
• Engage in budgeting and Cap Ex strategic buying.
• Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning including real estate, M&A and marketing.
• Engage in key or targeted customer activities.
• Report key results to corporate officers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledgeable in and proven abilities with estimating in a paving, landscaping or construction type environment viewed as a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent math and geometry skills
• Ten years sales experience in a construction environment or to the facilities/operations market is a plus
• Must demonstrate competency in interpreting and applying complex estimating guidelines
