The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) role embeds within strategic customers to deliver high‑impact, technically complex projects that connect customer systems to CoLab. FDEs own the end‑to‑end delivery of initiatives, collaborating with customer success, product, design, engineering, and leadership teams to remove blockers and achieve results. This position requires navigating ambiguity, external team dynamics, and tight timelines while maintaining a high degree of autonomy.
- Own delivery of strategic customer projects from technical discovery through production deployment and success measurement.
- Build and deploy complex system integrations, backend services, and data pipelines.
- Interface with enterprise systems such as data lakes, identity management, PLM, and ERP solutions.
- Stand up CoLab integrations and organize incoming data for AI features like AutoReview.
- Design and implement AI‑powered interfaces, including validation UIs and natural language chat.
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand needs, propose solutions, and guide adoption.
- Codify repeatable work into internal tools, patterns, or documentation.
- Provide product feedback to refine the roadmap and improve real‑world performance of AutoReview and the Enterprise API.
- Delivered complex technical solutions where requirements were unclear.
- Break down ambiguity, sequence work, and adjust scope without losing momentum.
- Lead conversations confidently with customer engineering or IT teams.
