HVAC Application Engineer

Description

• Utilization of Project Support Center personnel for Revit work, assembly, and delivery of completed submittal or O&M packages, and material logistics
• Creation of software on projects that have been targeted for the software production process
• Preparation of control systems submittals, as-built wiring diagrams, and operating and maintenance manuals
• Frequent jobsite visits to establish a clear scope of work prior to starting engineering tasks and attendance at project jobsite field turnover meetings.
• Participation in ongoing review and enhancement of the McKenney's ACS design and implementation standards along with the management team

Requirements

• Adherence to the building design specifications, plans, VE modifications, and salesman's estimate is mandatory in the position, as is adherence to McKenney's ACS design and implementation standards
• Must project a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust
• Demonstrated competency in Windows, Microsoft Office, function block programming environments, Web-enabled applications, and database software
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed, as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
• Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations
• 4 years of experience working in an engineering or design capacity on communicating or networked electronic systems
• Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
• Advanced competency in Autodesk Revit.
• Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences, or equivalent technical training in a related field, with 2 years of the required experience, are working directly with commercial facility digital control and facility management systems
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
• Ability to maintain painstaking attention to detail while completing multiple or repetitive tasks
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences
• Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software
• Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, and to negotiate work areas under construction.
• Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises
• Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking
• Able to demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines
• Experience in HVAC Controls, Building Automation, or Energy Monitoring
• Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
