Provides legal and professional support to the organization related to risk management, safety, and related insurance matters.
Provides training to management and corporate and field personnel.

Manages claims and litigation relating to alleged bodily injury, property damage, negligence, and nuisance; and provides support related to indemnity and insurance coverage, including by working with third-party claims administrator and claims adjusters.
Litigation support includes selecting and managing outside counsel and internal staff; communicating key case updates internally and supporting external communications; preparing legal budgets and recommended reserves; supporting the selection, preparation, disclosures, deposition, and defense of Company and expert witnesses; and participating in select depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials of significance.

A proven track record demonstrating the ability to independently make decisions regarding complex legal and corporate issues, including a strong ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations to business partners.

Experience working in a large, multi-state corporate or legal environment; or as in-house counsel.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes and regulations applicable to publicly-traded organizations.
