The role involves developing technical course materials, supporting Safety Analysis Report for Packaging (SARP) reviews, reviewing technical documentation, performing analytical calculations, preparing written reports, and coordinating findings with the team lead. The position follows a hybrid work model with primary on‑site presence in Livermore and occasional remote work, and operates with minimal supervision within a team focused on nuclear safety, packaging, and transportation.
Qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years of age, and able to satisfy pre‑employment requirements such as physical examinations, drug screening, and background investigations required for Department of Energy clearance.
Schedule flexibility may be required, including overtime, shift work, or weekend assignments, depending on project needs. The selected candidate must successfully complete required on‑site training modules to qualify for specific work assignments.
Special requirements include a pre‑placement medical examination, a post‑offer drug test, and a Q‑level security clearance, which entails a federal background investigation and eligibility for access to classified information.
