  • Prepare market surveys and visit competition properties as needed to obtain information on the services, concessions and physical condition of the properties.
  • Effectively communicate to the prospect all community amenities and services.
  • Obtain credit reports; verify employment and prior rental references.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the competition and provide the Property Manager with up to date market information.
  • Actively contribute to the spirit of teamwork at both company and property levels to assure the success of the organization.
  • Suggest marketing programs to increase the appeal of the vacant units.
  • Prepare leases and set up move-in appointments.
  • Document resident conversations in the resident’s files.
  • Lease apartments and maintain a satisfactory closing ratio.
  • Develop a telephone presentation that will attract potential residents, and answer and overcome any objections a prospect may have.
  • Pre-qualify applicants in a manner consistent with the property’s resident selection criteria.

  • Must be able to do outreach marketing, corporate calling, direct mail to competitors and any other market tasks set forth by the Property Manager.
  • Become familiar with the general office procedures that are necessary to ensure an efficiently run management office.
  • Previous leasing experience preferred.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the property and the surrounding area, the competition, and the neighborhood services and amenities.
  • Well groomed, pleasant and courteous.
  • Ability to work with persons of all backgrounds and understand problems of the residents.
  • High school education or equivalent.
