  • Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain FRP piping, tanks, ducts, vessels, and structural components.
  • Perform surface preparation, lay-up of fiberglass mats, application of resins, and curing.
  • Complete required documentation such as job hazard analyses, permits, and quality control forms.
  • Conduct inspections of FRP systems for signs of wear, corrosion, and structural deficiencies.
  • Use hand and power tools, cutting and grinding equipment, and specialized FRP tools.
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific requirements, including confined space entry and working at heights.
  • Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and work orders to perform accurate installations and repairs.
  • Mix and apply resins, catalysts, and hardeners in proper ratios, following technical data sheets (TDS) and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work with other trades (welders, pipefitters, etc.) on multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Safety certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA 10/30, confined space, respiratory protection, fall protection).
  • Must pass pre-employment, periodic drug screening and respirator fit tests.
  • 2+ years of experience in FRP fabrication, repair, or installation in industrial settings preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and safety documentation.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ASTM, ASME RTP-1, and NACE is a plus.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and travel to remote job sites as required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing ladders or scaffolds.
  • The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and industrial environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to chemicals.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds regularly.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves, eye protection, and hard hats.
  • Familiarity with corrosion-resistant materials, resin systems, and FRP hand lay-up and spray-up techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
