Negotiate and utilize 3rd party engineering suppliers
Lead R&D efforts to develop new applications and support product development.
Interface with marketing, vendors and manufacturing operations to resolve requirements for new product development, design issues, product use concerns, production issues, and field problems
Develop strong personal relationships with internal customers and play a key role in providing VOC that will influence engineering strategy and priorities
Work closely with operations and customers to provide input and guidance on technical issues and negotiate and finalize engineering requirements
Manage engineering initiatives based on strategy deployment improvement priorities
Provide technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work; monitor and adjust to insure progress against project schedules and budgets; allocate resources as required to accomplish goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and other engineers.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
Review and approve proposed engineering designs and subsequent product and process enhancements or changes
Evaluate current projects and provide input to increase efficiency and productivity
Implement approved engineering budgets and monitor actual expenses to ensure they fall within budgets, analyzing out of budget expenses and ensuring they are offset in other areas of the project unless fully justified
Conduct industry research on material and application trends and be the subject matter expert on applying to products.
Perform administrative and oversight functions in approving proposals, expenditures, enforcing policies and hiring of engineers
Support marketing in product research & analysis and identification of new product roadmap

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred
