What you would be doing

  • Process supplier invoices daily when received
  • Check if all invoices and expenses are compliant with company guidelines
  • Adhere to monthly deadlines
  • Attach supporting documents (e.g. Purchase Order) to the invoice.
  • Building strong relationships with external departments – commercial project teams, procurement, IT, office admin
  • Monitor the project employee IT asset list and investigate any user inconsistencies
  • Assists in internal and external financial audits and ensure proper close-out of observations, non-compliance, etc.
  • Liaise and closely coordinate with the corporate (BRVZ) External Finance and Internal Accounting Teams
  • Support the project accounts team with bespoke financial reports as requested
  • Raise internal recharge invoices, obtaining information from other departments
  • Assist with the preparation of internal project financial reports, asset reporting, or any ad-hoc reporting requirements
  • Assist in preparing and obtaining audit evidence
  • Assist with month-end closing using the ERP system
  • Maintain excel datasets to support our recharging process
  • Ensure GL coding is correct including the VAT business case

  • Analytical skills
  • Proficient in any Finance/Accounting module of an ERP system
  • Clear understanding of intercompany re-charges and reconciliations
  • Understands the importance of data protection
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related discipline with transferable skills; alternatively, 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting across any industry.
  • Software Proficiency: MS Office Suite: Intermediate | MS Excel: Intermediate
  • Knowledge of VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax, including statutory processes
  • Communication skills, confident to contribute new ideas
  • Working towards, or wanting to obtain, an accounting qualification with a recognised professional body (AAT, wanting to pursue ACCA, ICAEW, or CIMA), or equivalent
  • Looking to develop as a finance professional, continue studying and focus on commercial aspects of finance
  • Able to use excel – basic formulas, lookups and pivots
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles
  • Able to work proactively within a team environment and independently
