Our Fehr & Peers Corporate office supports offices nationwide and anticipates their needs to support their success. Our Accounting team is seeking a Project Accountant to work in our Walnut Creek office who will be managing client billing, project review and reporting, financial reporting support, and working closely with multiple offices’ project managers. In this role you will be part of our collaborative environment, regular team‑bonding events, annual goal setting, cross‑training, and ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion conversations. If you have a high attention to detail, value teamwork, enjoy challenges, and can be flexible and adaptable, this role is for you!
- Minimum three years of accounting experience.
- Experience in project cost accounting, billing, or corporate accounting (preferred).
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and graphing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Adobe).
- Experience with Deltek or other ERP software, including report creation/editing.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with accuracy and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills across multiple channels.
- Collaborative team player with problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field (desirable).
Benefits
$80,000 – $95,000 a year; placement within the stated pay range will be determined based upon education, experience, and qualifications.
