  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and risks for battery maintenance and installation, HVAC, data center facility operations, and commissioning.
  • Monitor and review safety performance metrics to identify trend areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that safety issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Investigate incidents to determine their root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety issues and protocols.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental, engineering, or related field.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with JHAs, SOPs, MOPS, technical reports and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable with NFPA 70E/LOTO, DOT, and environmental compliance is a plus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; Standing and walking is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of U.S Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and standards and other non-regulatory safety standards applicable to the location.
  • Knowledge with experience using Microsoft Office
  • BCSP credentials are a plus (CHST, CSP, etc.)
  • Minimum 3-4 years of progressive experience in EHS in general industry, preferably with data center maintenance, service and facility operations experience.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and can follow reporting processes. Communicate effectively with client safety team regarding incidents and other action items.
  • OSHA 510/500 preferred
  • First Aid/CPR/AED preferred
