Description

Floor Technicians at Velociti are responsible for maintaining hard surface and carpet floors in offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and public areas. Their duties include stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting.

The position involves regular preventative maintenance checks, securing work areas, routine floor care tasks such as mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, and cleaning walls, dusting, restrooms, offices, and break rooms, as well as upkeep of floor‑care equipment.

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures

• Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items

• Take directions from Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager
• Coordinate activities with other internal departments
• Participate in team meetings
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
• Secure work area and post safety notices before beginning work
• Conduct routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing of hard surfaces and stairwells
• Clean walls
• Clean offices and break rooms routinely
• Maintain floor‑care equipment

Requirements

The role requires adherence to safety rules, teamwork, clean work areas, proper use of protective equipment, and professional communication with supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.

Technicians must collaborate with the Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, District Manager, and other internal departments, building respectful relationships with teammates and guests while prioritizing guest experience and safety.

Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and performing repetitive tasks under time pressure, with a work environment that emphasizes safety and customer satisfaction.

• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
• Vacuum, shampoo, bonnet, and extract carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
