Senior Staff Accountant (Req : 98)

Description

• Supports Purchasing with data entry and clerical tasks.
• Supports end of month GL closings
• Works with employees responsible for inventory
• Performs general data entry related to the accounting function
• Troubleshoot A/R, A/P, and job costing questions
• Supports and reconciles monthly bank accounts and credit card statements
• Supports in Quarterly Estimated Taxes and Draws
• Prepares and reviews monthly balance sheet, P&L statement and other financial reports, as requested
• Maintains various licenses related to the Company and projects
• Supports and maintains depreciation schedules for fixed assets, equipment and vehicles
• Maintains and analyzes fleet vehicle records and costs associated with vehicle purchases, maintenance and depreciation
• Manage the QuesTec Real Estate books and financials
• Suggests ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits

Requirements

• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Ten years of corporate accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Accepts guidance and exhibits a willingness to communicate positively with all QuesTec employees
• Attention to detail and quality of work performed by self and work to be assigned to project(s)
• Ability to feel, grasp, operate and position items with fingers and hands; may require extensive keyboarding work at times
• Advanced Excel knowledge preferred
• High degree of accuracy and detail orientation
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
• W2 Preparation, execution and corrections
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to withstand long periods of sitting or standing (stationary positions up to 50% of time)
• Proficient with technology and basic computer software programs
• High degree of organization and ability to prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects.
• Solid understanding of confidentiality in an information-sensitive employment role
• Ability to understand and consistently apply mid-level accounting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight
• High Level AP transactions
• Minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
