The position demands safe operation of vacuum equipment in industrial settings while adhering to company policies and procedures. Operators must maintain accurate documentation, complete daily pre‑trip inspections and driver logs, and demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance.
The role also involves basic maintenance of the units to ensure efficient operation and requires relevant safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG and H2S Alive, which are considered assets. Maintaining cleanliness and organizational standards is also a key expectation.
Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, manage time and productivity, and effectively communicate with the team. Candidates should have at least two years of industrial vacuum truck or hydro‑excavating experience, be physically fit, and be willing to respond to after‑hour calls and occasional travel.
