Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and correct design conflicts or coordination issues within the model, ensuring a smooth workflow during the construction process.
Develop and maintain electrical DWG templates, part family libraries, and design standards to streamline project execution and improve consistency across designs.
Perform quality checks on BIM models to ensure they meet company standards, project specifications, and are up to date with revisions.
Produce detailed drawings, electrical layouts, and schematics from BIM models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of design presentations, submittals, and reports for internal teams, clients, and contractors.
Create and manage 3D BIM models for systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, security, and other electrical components) using software such as Inventor/SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM trends, software updates, and electrical design practices to continuously improve skills and processes. Provide guidance or training to junior team members when necessary.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and contractors to provide updates and support for the electrical system design and its integration into the overall BIM model.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the building model and meet design requirements.

Proficient in 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization tools.
Ability to perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts effectively.
BIM Certification is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and electrical regulations.
LEED or other sustainability certifications are advantageous.
Experience with Inventor/SolidWorks CAD Systems, and other relevant BIM software is required.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Alternatively, a technical diploma or equivalent experience in electrical systems design with specialized BIM training.
Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and low voltage systems.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on BIM modeling, electrical systems, or building systems coordination.
