Based in Toronto, the Data Governance Co‑op will support and implement data‑governance and data‑quality frameworks using Microsoft Purview. The role involves managing data definitions, policies, standards, rules, and stewardship responsibilities as strategic business assets.
During the term, the intern will work closely with the Data Governance team and internal customers to enrich QuadReal’s business glossary, analyze data using profiling and visualization tools, design data‑quality rules and dashboards, and perform ad‑hoc analytics on large, diverse datasets from systems such as Yardi and MS Dynamics. The role also includes delivering high‑quality reports, presentations, and automating data remediation opportunities while collaborating across teams to drive organization‑wide efficiencies.
Candidates should be currently enrolled in a Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Data‑Analytics program and possess strong quantitative and analytical abilities. Required skills include advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, SQL (SELECT, JOIN, aggregations, subqueries, regex), and Git for version control. Prior experience with data‑quality management tools and effective communication and presentation skills are also essential.

Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a post‑secondary program and returning to school after the work term, or be in a mandatory co‑op program required for graduation. Students will leave QuadReal at the end of the term, with the possibility of being considered for full‑time roles.

The hourly rate for this newly created role is $23–$25, subject to factors such as skill, experience, education, market compensation, and internal equity.
