The role supports this mission by managing the corrective action program (CAP) and acting as a liaison between business teams to ensure timely resolution of non-compliance issues.
The incumbent administers the CAP software and database, reviews daily condition reports, validates trend codes, and assists in screening and classification of issues. They monitor key metrics such as aging and closure of condition reports, verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions, and participate in the Corrective Action Review Board. The position also champions inter-departmental collaboration, drives continuous improvement, and provides regular progress reports.
- Administer and maintain the Corrective Action Program software and database.
- Review daily Condition Reports, validate trend codes, and ensure clear problem descriptions.
- Screen and classify issues, generating appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor key CAP metrics such as aging, closure rates, and screening time.
- Provide data and statistics on corrective and preventive actions to management.
- Verify effectiveness of implemented corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in Corrective Action Review Board meetings and formally close actions.
- Champion interdepartmental collaboration, including customers and suppliers, to document and complete actions.
- Conduct benchmarks and self-assessments to drive continuous improvement aligned with nuclear industry standards.
- Identify steps needed to eliminate issues and prevent recurrence.
- Offer corrective-action support across all departments and handle urgent escalations.
- Influence team members to address and close condition reports in a timely manner.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain professional demeanor in all communications.
- Support team members in executing core tasks under guided supervision.

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline and typically three years of relevant experience are required, along with knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ASME NQA-1. The position is located in Rockville, MD, with a standard Monday‑Friday schedule (8 am‑5 pm) and occasional onsite travel of about 5 %.
